Throughout my life, I, as well as many of my friends and family have lost our precious fury friends, both big and small.
The first time I experienced the pain of losing a pet, was when I was 10 years old – my beloved budgie, Mickey, passed away. To this day I can remember how the little 10 year old me felt. I was so devastated, especially as I was not at home at the time, but on a stay-over with my grandparents.
This grief can be profound especially even more so, for the young and old.
Therefore, as I was a psychotherapist I decided to train and qualify as a Pet Bereavement Counsellor because I feel this area of counselling is sorely ignored.
When we lose a pet our grief can be a crippling state for us to be in.
Without the correct understanding and support, grief can easily turn into many years of suffering quite often resulting in depression.
A single misunderstood period of grief has the potential to ruin your whole life.
Eden, Pet Bereavement Counselling is a new and ‘stand-alone’ therapy devoted entirely to help you through the grief of loosing your pet.
There is light at the end of the grieving tunnel.
